Benefits of Reiki

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a complementary alternative health therapy that has been shown to help with stress, anxiety, pain and depression. Like acupuncture, cupping and gua sha, reiki unblocks qi ("chee") which controls spiritual, emotional, mental and physical balance. The process involves lightly laying of hands just above or on the clothed body, working over the front and back in a slow progression of hand positions. You will feel grounded, clear & light.

Review of Reiki Session

Dawn H, Joelton

I have been working with Ret for a few months now. We have stuck with yoga/ qigong. Today I wanted to cancel, I am a bundle of nerves regarding a trip coming up and was sick to my stomach. I didn't catch her on time. Ret suggested Reiki. The BEST. I was a touch anxious about settling down for an hour. From the beginning peace came over me. With my regular breathing and the movement from her, I was able to come into my body, forget about my mind and my soul once again was part of me. I will now incorporate this practice too.

Reiki, the science.

Reiki, as a health and wellness modality, has received  attention from both the scientific and western medical communities in the past 50 years. It has been embraced by the medical community to benefit patients undergoing treatments for chronic illnesses and those recovering from surgeries, as well as to benefit employee health and wellbeing. Reiki has also  been increasingly placed under scientific review. It has held up under that review and been shown to improve quality of life physically and emotionally for: acute events, people suffering from chronic conditions, and for those at the end of their life. It is most well known for benefiting stress responses, depression, anxiety, and pain. It has also been linked to noticeable physical improvements in some recipients, as well as with improved employee morale and performance.
